Jammu: Apni Party Media Incharge for Jammu Province, Vaibhav Mattoo, today expressed anguish over the unscheduled power cuts that have disrupted normal life across the region. According to a press release, Mattoo raised serious concerns over the deepening electricity crisis, which has also led to an irregular supply of drinking water during the ongoing heatwave in Jammu.

He said that electricity remains unavailable for hours at a time, causing immense hardship to the public, particularly patients, senior citizens, and children. He criticized the Government for its failure to address the situation in the Jammu plains and ensure an uninterrupted 24/7 power supply. Mattoo further said that the irrigation system has also been adversely affected due to the erratic supply of electricity, causing difficulties for farmers and impacting agricultural activities.
