Jammu & Kashmir News : Theft Case Solved by Police Station Tral; Two Accused Apprehended, Stolen Gold Recovered

Awantipora, September 7 : Police Station Tral has solved a theft case with the apprehension of two accused persons and recovery of stolen gold ornaments worth approximately ₹4 lakh so far. The case pertains to a complaint received at Police Station Tral on 28.06.2026 regarding the theft of gold ornaments worth approximately ₹12 lakh from the residence of Muzzafar Ahmad Mohand, S/o Late Gh. Ahmad, R/o Sheerabad Bulli, Tral. In this connection, FIR No. 80/2026 under Sections 305 and 331(4) of the BNS was registered at Police Station Tral, and investigation was taken up.

Official said, During the course of investigation, police meticulously analysed all available evidence, including technical inputs. Sustained investigative efforts by the police team headed by SHO Police Station Tral, Inspector Tajamul Islam, led to the apprehension of two accused persons identified as: Sajad Ahmad Mochi, S/o Noor Mohammad, R/o Larkipora Padgampora, presently residing at Shaheed Park, Pulwama. Amir Rashid Ganaie, S/o Abdul Rashid Ganaie, R/o Khulbagh Batagund. On the basis of their disclosure, stolen gold ornaments worth approximately ₹4 lakh have been recovered so far.Further investigation in the case is underway, and additional recoveries and arrests are expected as the investigation progresses.
