Pulwama, August 13 : In a significant initiative aimed at strengthening diagnostic healthcare infrastructure and enhancing patient-care services, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Pulwama, Dr. Ab. Gani Dar, today inaugurated the newly renovated X-Ray Section of the hospital. The inauguration marks an important milestone in the ongoing efforts of District Hospital Pulwama to modernise its healthcare facilities and provide patients with improved, efficient and accessible diagnostic services under one roof. The newly renovated X-Ray Section has been developed with a focus on creating a more organised, functional and patient-friendly environment while strengthening the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities. The upgradation is expected to facilitate smoother workflow for medical and technical staff and improve the overall experience of patients requiring radiological investigations.

Speaking on the occasion, the Medical Superintendent highlighted the importance of modern diagnostic infrastructure in ensuring timely and effective treatment. He underscored that quality diagnostic services form an essential component of patient care, enabling doctors to make accurate and timely clinical assessments and plan appropriate treatment. The journey of the X-Ray Section, from its establishment to its present-day transformation, reflects the continued efforts, dedication and commitment of the hospital administration, doctors, technical staff and other stakeholders towards improving healthcare delivery at District Hospital Pulwama. At present, the renovated department is equipped with one Computed Radiography (CR) X-Ray system, which is providing radiological diagnostic services to patients visiting the hospital. In a further boost to the department, a Digital Radiography (DR) X-Ray system is expected to be introduced shortly. The proposed DR system is expected to significantly enhance the speed, efficiency and quality of diagnostic imaging services. Its introduction will further modernise the department and enable faster processing of radiographic examinations, thereby supporting timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.

The inauguration was attended by hospital staff and concerned personnel, who welcomed the development and appreciated the efforts of the Medical Superintendent and the entire team associated with the renovation and upgradation of the facility. Hospital officials said that the strengthening of diagnostic infrastructure would particularly benefit patients from Pulwama and adjoining areas by improving access to essential imaging services and reducing the need for patients to travel elsewhere for routine diagnostic examinations. The renovation and proposed installation of advanced imaging technology are being viewed as important steps towards building a more efficient, modern and patient-centric healthcare system at District Hospital Pulwama.The hospital administration reiterated its commitment to continuously improve medical infrastructure, upgrade diagnostic and treatment facilities and ensure that patients receive quality healthcare services in a safe, accessible and efficient environment.
