Jammu & Kashmir News : Pulwama Police Foils Terror Conspiracy ; One Hand Grenade Recovered; Suspect Arrested

Pulwama August 03 : In a significant success against anti-national elements, Pulwama Police, in a joint operation with 44 Rashtriya Rifles (Army) and 183 Battalion CRPF, apprehended a suspect during naka checking and recovered one hand grenade, three anti-national posters, and one mobile phone from his possession. Official said the joint naka was established on the Drabgam–Pachar Road. During checking, a suspicious person approaching from Drabgam towards Pachar attempted to flee on noticing the naka. However, the alert naka party swiftly chased and apprehended him near the Fruit Mandi on Pachar Road.

The accused was identified as Tousef Ahmad Dar S/o Abdul Hameed Dar R/o Drabgam Payeen. Accordingly, FIR No. 107/2026 under Sections 7/25 of the Arms Act and Sections 13, 18, 23 & 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) has been registered at Police Station Rajpora, and investigation has been taken up to ascertain the source of the recovered material and identify any further linkages. Pulwama Police, in close coordination with the Army and CRPF, remains committed to maintaining peace and security in the district and will continue to take firm action against individuals involved in anti-national and unlawful activities.
