The District Congress Committee (DCC) Shopian, under the leadership of District President Shabnam Akther, on Tuesday organised a programme to mark the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The event witnessed the participation of senior party leaders and Congress workers from across the district. Among those present were Syed Mubashir Bashir, Mohd Shafi Dar, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, Muntazir Ashraf, Shabir Ahmad, and Sarwar Gul, along with a large number of party workers.

Addressing the gathering, the party leadership said the programme reflected the sentiments of Congress workers and reaffirmed the Indian National Congress’s commitment to democratic values, accountability, and public service. They also urged party workers to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level and continue working to address public issues. The programme concluded with Congress supporters raising party slogans and pledging to work for the welfare, development, and progress of the people of Shopian.
