The accused had been evading arre_st since the registration of FIR No. 93/2026 under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Doda. Police said the arrest was made after sustained efforts involving technical surveillance intelligence gathering and continuous field operations. During interrogation the accused reportedly made important disclosures which led to the recovery of an additional 15 grams of heroin-like substance including the weight of the polythene cover. Police also recovered one digital weighing machine silver foil and other incriminating material used for weighing packaging and consumption of narcotic substances. In a parallel financial investigation conducted under the NDPS Act Doda Police traced proceeds of crime linked to drug trafficking and successfully froze bank accounts containing approximately Rs 19 lakh belonging to the accused persons involved in the case. Police stated that further financial investigation is underway to identify additional assets and proceeds generated through illegal narcotics trade.

With the latest recovery the total quantity of heroin/brown sugar-like substance seized in the case has now reached 100 grams. The cumulative recoveries and seizures in the case include 100 grams of heroin/brown sugar-like substance 99 grams of charas Rs 23/12/160 cash approximately Rs 19 lakh frozen in bank accounts 24 Android mobile phones one digital weighing machine silver foil and other incriminating material. Investigation has reportedly revealed the involvement of the accused in an organized narcotics trafficking network operating in the area. Further investigation is continuing to identify additional links assets and proceeds of crime connected to the drug trade. Doda Police reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against dr_ug traffic_king and appealed to the public to share information regarding drug peddling and suspicious activities while assuring complete confidentiality of informers.
