Rajouri, July 19: Two boys were trapped in the middle of the Manawar River on Sunday after the water level rose suddenly due to continuous heavy rainfall. As soon as the incident was reported, the district administration launched an immediate joint rescue operation. Teams from the Indian Army, SDRF, District Police Rajouri, and CRPF 237 Battalion rushed to the spot and carried out a coordinated rescue mission. The operation was closely supervised by the SSP Rajouri, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajouri, and senior Army officials, who remained present at the site throughout the rescue.

Despite the strong currents and challenging conditions, the rescue teams displayed exceptional courage and coordination, successfully bringing both boys to safety. Their timely rescue brought immense relief to their families and local residents, who praised the efforts of the rescue personnel. The district administration has appealed to the public to stay away from rivers, streams, and other water bodies during heavy rainfall and to immediately inform the authorities in case of any emergency. The successful operation highlighted the swift response and excellent coordination among the Indian Army, SDRF, District Police Rajouri, and CRPF, which helped save the lives of both boys.
