Pulwama<\/strong>, August 25 : Two persons were apprehended along with arms and ammunition during a joint search operation in Pulwama district, officials said indian crime news. According to officials, during the intervening night of August 24 and 25, a Search and Destroy Operation (SADO) was launched by joint teams of Police Pulwama, Army\u2019s 44 Rashtriya Rifles and 183 Battalion CRPF in the general Yarwan forest area of village CB Nath, Rajpora. During the operation, the joint teams noticed two individuals approaching from the forest area towards CB Nath village in a suspicious manner. The suspects were tactfully apprehended by the security forces, officials said.<\/p>\n

The apprehended individuals have been identified as Latif Ahmed Deedad, son of Ghulam Mohammad Deedad, resident of Lassi Daban, and Aijaz Ahmed Bajad, son of Nazir Ahmed Bajad, resident of Bun Kha, Bamnoo. During their search, the security forces recovered one pistol, 12 pistol rounds and one hand grenade from their possession.Both suspects, along with the recovered arms and ammunition, have been taken into custody for further investigation. Authorities are investigating their possible links and the circumstances under which the weapons and ammunition were being carried. Meanwhile, the search operation in the area was continuing when reports last came in, officials said.
