Pulwama<\/strong>, July 4 : Demonstrating prompt action and efficient policing, Pulwama Police on Thursday solved a theft case within hours of its occurrence by recovering stolen cash, ornaments and important documents, besides apprehending four persons allegedly involved in the crime. According to police official , Police Station Litter registered FIR No. 87\/2026 under Section 303 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following a complaint lodged by Gulshan Akhter, wife of Bashir Ahmad Wani, a resident of Muran, Pulwama. In her complaint, she alleged that cash and other valuables were stolen while she was travelling in a Tavera vehicle from Pulwama to Naina Batapora. Immediately after the case was registered, a special police team launched a swift investigation and conducted a targeted operation at Naina Batapora.Acting on specific leads, the team successfully recovered the stolen property within hours of the incident.<\/p>\n

The recovered items include \u20b910,160 in cash, two gold rings, one copper kadda, one ATM card and one PAN card, all of which were seized as part of the investigation. Police identified the accused as Firdous Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Nabi Sheikh, a resident of Palpora, Parimpora, Srinagar; Sikander Ahmad Sheikh, son of Fojdar Sheikh, a resident of Noorbagh, Srinagar; Tanveera, wife of Sikander Ahmad Sheikh; and Fatima, wife of Firdous Ahmad Sheikh. The recovered property was seized from their possession in accordance with legal procedures. Police said further investigation is underway to ascertain all aspects of the case.
