In a major crackdown against drug trafficking, Police Post Sangam, under the supervision of Anantnag Police, conducted a raid at Tulkhan following specific information regarding concealment of narcotics by a suspected drug peddler. During the search of an under-construction residential house belonging to Farooq Ahmad Dar S\/O Ghulam Hassan Dar R\/O Tulkhan, police recovered cash amounting to \u20b925,50,000\/- and 104 grams of charas concealed beneath boulders on the ground floor of the house.<\/p>\n

Following the recovery, FIR No. 154\/2026 under Section 8\/20 of the NDPS Act was registered and investigation was taken up. The accused has been arrested and further investigation is in progress.
